What Systems Will You Master?

Over 3 packed days, you will work across our custom training bays to install, finish, scrape, and detail:

  • Traditional Sand-and-Cement (Wall 1 – Side A): Master traditional mix ratios, scratch coats, floating second coats, crisp line work, and professional patch-repair/cutting techniques.
  • Applying traditional sand-and-cement render on training wall during our external rendering course
  • Silicone Thin-Coat System (Wall 1 – Side B): Learn correct base-coat application, embedding fibreglass mesh without ridges, priming, and applying/texturing modern silicone topcoats.
  • Applying silicone thin-coat render system and embedding mesh during our professional rendering course
  • Monocouche Through-Colour Render (Wall 2): Gain confidence in the two-pass application method, managing drying times, and executing the critical “cheddar cheese” devil-float scrape to expose a uniform aggregate finish.

Day 1: Foundations, Beading & First Coats

  • Classroom theory covering safety, high-alkaline render awareness, PPE, and suction science for different backgrounds.
  • Setting window beads plumb, level, and true to line.
  • Mixing and applying traditional scratch coats and factory blended One Coat Render (OCR) across window reveals.
  • Installing fibre-reinforced silicone base coats and embedding reinforcement mesh.

Day 2: Traditional Finishes, Monocouche & Reveal Repairs

  • Executing fast-paced traditional second coats and achieving crisp, flat trade finishes.
  • Classroom brief on through-colour science, correct water ratios, and batch management.
  • Applying Monocouche render across your dedicated flat wall bay using the professional two-pass method.
  • Practical defect-rescue and patch-repair drills on cured OCR window reveals, followed by silicone priming.

Day 3: Scraping, Patching, Silicone Tops & Fast-Track Re-Application

  • Mastering the crucial 24-hour green-cure scraping window on Monocouche and handling sun-baked or stubborn spots.
  • Hard-cured cutting and mechanical patch-repair techniques for traditional sand-and-cement.
  • Applying and texturing silicone/acrylic topcoats while managing wet edges to prevent flashing lines.
  • Bonus fast-track OCR re-application drill, plus professional aftercare review and certification.
